Rise and shine, it’s another day on the job! As an HVAC technician for Jackson & Foster Heating & Air Conditioning, my days are always filled with new challenges and opportunities to help our customers stay comfortable in their homes and businesses.

Morning Routine

After a quick breakfast, I load up my van with all the necessary tools and equipment for the day’s appointments. First up is a routine AC service call in La Mesa. The homeowner has been diligent about scheduling regular maintenance, which helps extend the lifespan of their system and prevent costly breakdowns.

Emergency Call

Just as I’m wrapping up the service call, my dispatcher radios in with an emergency situation – a commercial building in Santee is experiencing a complete HVAC system failure. I quickly head over to assess the situation. After some troubleshooting, I determine that the issue lies with the compressor, which will need to be replaced. Luckily, I have the necessary parts in my van, so I can get to work right away.

New Installation

With the emergency resolved, I make my way to a residential job in El Cajon for a new AC installation. The homeowners are upgrading to a more energy-efficient system, which will not only keep them cool during the hot San Diego summers but also save them money on their utility bills.

Throughout the day, I field calls from customers inquiring about our services, schedule appointments, and provide expert advice on maintaining their HVAC systems. It’s a fast-paced environment, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Being able to provide reliable AC service and ensure the comfort of our customers is what makes this job so rewarding.
